ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Lorenzo Castore was born in Florence, Italy (1973), and currently lives in Rome.
His practice is characterized by long-term projects focusing on personal experience, everyday life, memory, and the relationship between minor individual stories, history, and the present.
He has published eleven monographic books: Nero (2004), Paradiso (2006), Ultimo Domicilio (2015), Ewa & Piotr – Si vis pacem para bellum (2018), Land (2019), 1994–2001 | A Beginning (2019), Glitter Blues (2021), 2001–2007 | Lack & Longing (2022), WALLS (2022), Séte #23 (2023) and Fièvre (2024).
He has directed four short films: No Peace Without War (2012), Sogno #5 (2013), Casarola (2014) and W (2022).
His work has been exhibited internationally in numerous solo shows. He is currently represented by Guido Costa Projects (Turin), Galerie Anne Clergue (Arles), Galerie S. (Paris), Alessia Paladini Gallery (Milan), and Spot Home Gallery (Naples).
