ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Alexander Aksakov was born in 1986 in Pechora (Komi Republic). In 2009 he graduated from the Syktyvkar State University, and in 2013 - the Faculty of photo correspondents named after Yuri Galperin at the Creative Union of Journalists of St. Petersburg.
In 2013, the book "365" was published. (Akina Books) based on photos taken during a year of service in the army.
In 2013-2014, he was one of the main participants in the photographic expedition "From White to Black Sea", organized by the Foundation for Documentary Photography Support Liberty.SU.
In 2015, he becomes a co-author and participant of the "CloseUpRussia Documentary Photography Program", a photo program about everyday life in Russia«.
Since 2017, he has been working on a long-term photographic project "Diffelarities", conducting a comparative visual analysis of everyday life in Russia and the United States.
He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Russia, Europe and the USA.
