ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Anna Block was born in 1982 in Moscow.

Studied at the Moscow State University of Culture in Moscow and at the ISSP international summer photography school in Latvia. In 2016 she received a Master of Arts degree from Jan Evangelista Purkyne University in the Czech Republic.

Her work has been published in the book "Eyemazing.The New Collectible Art Photography" by Thames&Hudson, magazines Dienacht, Der Greif, Teeth, Zoom, etc. She has dabbled in self-publishing and analog printing methods. Her works and zines are in private collections and collections of the Garage Museum (Moscow), Tenerife Center of Photography (Spain), Russian Museum (St. Petersburg).

The artist's main interests lie in the field of intersection between corporeality and nature.

In her work, Anna explores the boundaries of the unconscious and how they can be manifested through body images.
